@Martin: During the first half of the 20th century Asbury Park was a popular tourist resort, but but begining in the 1950's as transportation improved people started finding other places to go. In the 1960's the city suffered through riots. In the 70's & 80's the City was in serious economic decline. Many businesses, hotels and attractions were abandoned. By the 1990's, for lack of better words, Asbury became a ghost town.
After years of neglect, the casino is beyond repair and is being demolished.
I am not sure what is going to take place.
